EDGEWOOD, Md., December 7, 2022 – APG Federal Credit Union (APGFCU) has appointed Andrea Vuncannon as business development director for Cecil County. She succeeds Sharon Pelham, who served in the role for eight years and was recently named APGFCU’s business development director for Baltimore County and Baltimore City.
Beginning her career with APGFCU as a teller in 2004, Vuncannon has held various roles with increasing responsibility over the past 18 years. Most recently, she served as branch manager for the credit union’s Aberdeen Branch, where she oversaw the daily operations of staff and branch activity. Focusing on providing a positive experience for APGFCU’s members was at the center of her responsibilities, which translates well into her new role. Vuncannon also served in the credit union’s financial education department for three years, where she focused on brining financial literacy classes and tools into schools and the community.
As the credit union’s business development director for Cecil County, Vuncannon is dedicated to building and nurturing relationships with partner organizations and bringing APGFCU products and services to those who live, work, worship or attend school in the communities it serves.
“Andrea brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this role,” stated Chief Marketing Officer Brian Wilcox. “She has a passion for helping others and she is a relationship builder, which are a great combination for an outreach position such as this. I think the Cecil County community will really enjoy getting to know her and working with her.”
In addition to her professional accomplishments with APGFCU, Vuncannon is a 2017 graduate of the Harford Leadership Academy.
APGFCU is committed to building strong families for a stronger community. Membership is free and open to everyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers or attends school in Harford County, Cecil County, Baltimore County and Baltimore City.
